Sometimes a young client presents with very low self esteem with interruption of his academic career forcing him to go into low paying employment when the client has the intellectual potential to be a highly qualified professional. Such clients need therapy in addition to speech therapy to rebuild their lives.

Sometimes young clients present with complaints of serious stress, anger, poor social relationships, lack of self confidence etc following victimisation over their stammering throughout school life. Unfortunately such presentations occur even in reputed schools. Such clients need both medications as well as long term therapy.
