Dr. Ashutosh Prabhu Dessai, MBBS, MD (Psy), FIPS , is a consultant in Mental Health and Counselling in Panaji, Goa, India. He is a specialist in psychological, academic, marital, sexual, substance abuse disorders, child and adolescent problems, trauma and abuse issues, homosexuality and gender related issues. 

Dr. Dessai is also a psychotherapist providing Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) , Inter Personal Therapy (IPT), Inter Personal & Social Rhythms Therapy (IPSRT) for Bipolar disorder, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) for Borderline Personality disorder, Family Therapy, Marital and Sex Therapy, Hypnotherapy and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Ashutosh Dessai has practised in Northland Health New Zealand as a Consultant Psychiatrist and is currently an Assistant Professor in Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behaviour (IPHB) under the auspices of the Goa Medical College, Bambolim, Goa. He is also a postgraduate guide for MD & DPM candidates in Psychiatry as well as an an examiner for postgraduate courses in Psychiatry for Goa University.

Dr. Ashutosh Dessai is a Fellow of the Indian Psychiatric Society, a member of the World Psychiatric Association, and the Indo-Australasian Psychiatry Association.

Dr Dessai is currently joined by Daniela Semedo, Clinical Psychologist  from Inov Contact, Portugal, who  is also available for consultation by prior appointment.

Miss Semedo administers psychological tests for IQ, Dyslexia , ADHD, Anxiety disorders,  OCD, Depression, Schizophrenia, Substance Use disorders and maladaptive personality traits . Besides she provides Cognitive Remediation for problems such as forgetfulness and lack of concentration, complications which can arise in various mental disorders.

Miss Semedo also administers Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for various conditions such as Depression , interpersonal conflict , maladjustment ,  Bipolar disorder , Schizophrenia,  Anxiety disorder, Personality Disorders , Substance Use disorders and Eating disorders.
